Editorial policy
The principles used to separate useful medical information from promotional language, disclose commercial interests and correct material errors.
1. Mission
The Turkish Hair Transplant Guide explains the clinical and practical factors that affect natural-looking hair restoration in Türkiye. Its purpose is to help readers ask better questions about physician involvement, donor management, hairline design, safety and long-term planning.
The website is an editorial and commercial information project. It is not a medical service, regulatory authority, accreditation body or substitute for a personal consultation.
2. Editorial responsibilities
Clarity
Medical terminology should be explained without hiding uncertainty, limitations or the need for individual assessment.
Transparency
Commercial relationships, featured placement and publisher affiliations must be visible rather than implied to be independent.
Proportionality
Marketing claims should not be presented with greater certainty than the available evidence supports.
3. Source standards
We prefer primary and professionally accountable sources. Depending on the statement, these may include:
- Regulatory, licensing and official institutional records.
- Peer-reviewed publications and recognised medical or professional organisations.
- Congress presentations, educational materials and documented professional activity.
- Official physician and clinic websites for their own services, staff, facilities and published cases.
- Direct factual clarification supplied by a physician or authorised clinic representative.
Official clinic material is considered a primary source for what the clinic says about itself, but not automatically independent proof that every promotional claim is correct. Testimonials, awards, social-media popularity and unsourced “best” claims are treated cautiously.
4. Facts, interpretation and opinion
Where possible, the site distinguishes between verifiable facts, clinical interpretation and editorial judgement. Statements about professional history, technologies or published methods should be linked to attributable sources. Statements such as “featured,” “notable” or “relevant for comparison” are editorial descriptions, not medical certifications.

5. Medical review
Editorial review is not the same as medical review.
A page that has been medically reviewed will identify the reviewer, professional qualification and review date. If no reviewer is named, readers should assume the page has received editorial review only.
Clinical explanations should be reviewed by a qualified physician before they are used to guide treatment decisions. Updates that materially change risk information, diagnosis, medication, contraindications or treatment recommendations require renewed medical review.

6. Patient photographs and results

Commercial involvement does not remove the obligation to state factual limitations, disclose the relationship and avoid unsupported superiority claims. Other physicians are included for comparison using publicly available information; inclusion does not imply a commercial relationship unless disclosed.
8. AI-assisted and technical workflows
Automated tools, including artificial intelligence, may assist with drafting, translation, structured data, technical formatting and quality checks. They do not replace human editorial responsibility. Material medical or reputational claims must be checked against sources before publication.
AI-generated summaries should not invent credentials, clinical outcomes, quotations or source relationships. When uncertainty cannot be resolved, the statement should be qualified, removed or held for further review.
9. Corrections and material updates
We correct verifiable errors as promptly as reasonably possible. A correction request should identify the page, disputed statement and supporting source. Depending on significance, we may silently correct a minor typographical issue or add a visible clarification for a material factual change.
Content may be updated when official links change, new evidence becomes available, a provider changes location or treatment model, or a statement is no longer current. The displayed review date refers to the most recent substantive editorial review.
10. External links
Links to clinics, physicians, YouTube, professional organisations and consultation services are provided for context and convenience. External websites control their own content, availability, privacy practices and commercial processes. A link does not mean that every statement on the external site has been independently verified.
11. No individual medical advice
The website cannot determine whether a person is suitable for hair transplantation or recommend a graft number, medication, technique or surgical plan. Those decisions require medical history, examination, donor assessment and consultation with an appropriately qualified professional.
